“The Midland's Art Deco design makes it an unmistakable landmark on Morecambe's beachfront, offering a stylish stay near the Lake District; dining, however, appears inconsistent, and some may find the food overpriced. With its history and seaside locale, The Midland appeals, though potential visitors should weigh dining feedback alongside the hotel's strengths.”

Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Midland Hotel's art deco architecture is often praised, and its spacious rooms with sea views are a highlight for many. Some rooms feature balconies, and the suites boast huge wrap-around decks, some even including a hot tub. While some guests have mentioned that the exterior shows wear from its seaside location, the interior is generally considered well-maintained; food is tasty and reasonably priced, with options ranging from fish and chips to venison.

Repeat Visit Delights

large room comfortable bed walk-in shower cleaning products
I checked into a Classic Double Room Sea View. The room was very large and included a large, comfortable bed. The bathroom impressed me with its toilet, large bath, sizable washing sink, and walk-in shower. I found plenty of towels and cleaning products provided, with a stand-up fan also available in the main room.
The reception area seemed quite busy because it was also used as the bar, this made checking in slightly congested.
Service
9/10
The staff were friendly and professional in the restaurant. They created a cute atmosphere. Reception staff were efficient. The bartenders were attentive, providing excellent service in the Rotunda Bar.
Dining
8/10
The restaurant offered a great variety of food and drinks for breakfast each morning between 8 am and 9 am. Lunch at the Rotunda Bar on two separate occasions included good food and drinks. I thoroughly enjoyed the three-course Sunday lunch with soup, chicken roast, and mango sorbets.
Location
10/10
My room had a view of the sea, it was quite excellent. I enjoyed views of the water, a very good feature. The hotel is placed near to the beach.

i was disappointed with the pub decor it didn't quite fit the art deco style of the building i noticed too many condiments in the art deco bar it made the area look like a caff. also i observed that the building needs a lick of paint
